Sebring's Highlands Hammock State Park Ranks High Among Bidiversity

One of Florida's oldest parks, opening to the public in 1931, Highlands Hammock was established when local citizens came together to promote the hammock as a candidate for national park status. During the Great Depression, prior to World War II, the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) developed additional park facilities and the beginnings of a botanical garden.

Sebring Ranks in Top 20 Small Cities in Florida

If one’s goal is to enjoy the Florida sun far from the hassle of tourists and beaches, Sebring is the perfect choice. Located in the southern center of the state, Wikipedia reports Sebring has a population of 10,000 as of the 2010 census.

The town is best known for its Sebring International Raceway, home of the annual 12 Hours of Sebring. According to the city’s website, this race is a part of the triple crown of American Le Mans Series and is the primary source of visitors each year.

Sebring Ranks #5 as Best Place in Florida to Start a Business

The Sebring Chamber is so pleased to see our great city up there listed with some much larger ones, like Naples and Stuart. We always knew this is a great place to start a business, but it's great to see that outsdie sources are starting to recognize us, too.
