Sebring Chamber Announces Centennial Celebration Brick Program
The Greater Sebring Chamber of Commerce and the downtown Sebring chamber building, also known as the Board of Trade building, are celebrating their 100th birthday this year.
For the chamber’s centennial year, individuals and businesses can “leave their own lasting legacy for all to see” by sponsoring a personalized brick to be placed at the chamber office’s front entrance.
Liz Barber, chamber president and CEO, said: “The downtown area has such historical significance to the start of the Sebring Chamber of Commerce 100 years ago, and at the steps of the Board of Trade building seems like the perfect place to leave this legacy for the community and local businesses.”
Board of directors chairman, Dusty Johnson, said, “This reduction or elimination of debt will allow the chamber to focus less of its time on fundraising and more time on providing free or low cost business education to the members, more networking opportunities and more promotion of the member businesses.”
The bricks can commemorate a business or individual, be in memory of a loved one or recognize a graduation year or a family name. The 4-inch-by-8-inch standard size brick allows text only and is $250. The larger 8-inch-by-8-inch brick allows for a logo, clip art and text and is $750.
For those purchasing a brick, collector replicas are also available for home or office for only $60 to $100, depending on the size.
The chamber will take orders for the Centennial Celebration Brick Program through Sept. 30. Orders can be placed online or using a paper form. For more information or to order, go to www.sebring.org/centennial-celebration-brick-campaign or call the Sebring chamber at (863) 385-8448.
