On July 21, Sebring Chamber members gathered to mix, mingle and network at the monthly Sebring Chamber After-Hours Mixer. The well-attended July mixer was sponsored by the Humane Society of Highlands County. With over 100 people in attendance, the mixer was a unique and fun location, allowing attendees to see how far the local Humane Society has come in the recent years with the support of the local donors. The event was so successful that one of our Chamber members, Pat Dell of the Dell Realty Team adopted two dogs that are brother & sister.
The Humane Society took the opportunity to honor Dr. Elton Gissendanner for his years of service. He started the clinic 6 years ago, and has been a huge supporter. They also honored John Meder from WWOJ, and former Chair of the Sebring Chamber Board of Directors. John has been a supporter of the Humane Society for over 25 years. Finally, Jon Spiegel was also honored for the 1,000's of hours he has volunteered at the shelter. Currently he is organizing Terror Trail 2016, and it is guaranteed to be the scariest show on earth.
The event had a great turnout with a packed house! Mixers WORK by helping get people in the door of your place of business. The more people know about your business and feel a personal connection to you, the more likely they are to do business with your company!
The next after-hours mixer is scheduled for Thursday, August 18 from 5-7PM. This mixer is hosted by the Highlands News Sun at 207 Circle Park Drive, Sebring. There will be food, drink, and raffle prizes! See you there!
