Drug Free Highlands Speaks at the June Sebring Chamber Luncheon

The Greater Sebring Chamber of Commerce held it's networking luncheon on June 14. This month's sponsor was Drug Free Highlands, and the keynote speaker was Aisha Alayande, Direcrtor of DFH. The event was well attended with members of local business community who came to meet, greet and eat. They also came to laugh and learn, as Aisha kept everyone's attention as she talked about communicating with your family and positive living habits.

Sebring Chamber Mixer at Stone Ridge a Success!

On June 23, Sebring Chamber members gathered to mix, mingle and network at the monthly Sebring Chamber After-Hours Mixer. The June mixer was sponsored by Stone Ridge Realty. The mixer was a unique and fun location, allowing attendees to take tours of the model homes, and got to enjoy the new state-of-the-art clubhouse. 
 

29th Annual Spring Golf Classic a HUGE Success!

Spring certainly has sprung, and weather was sunny yet windy for the Greater Sebring Chamber of Commerce's 29th Annual Spring Golf Classic, sponsored by MIDFLORIDA Credit Union. The 4-person scramble tournament was held on Saturday, April 9 on the Deer Run course at the Sun ‘N Lake Golf Club.

Annual Networking Breakfast Raises $2,978 for Sebring High Show Choir

The Greater Sebring Chamber of Commerce held its' annual networking breakfast on December 10 at Island View Restaurant, bright and early at 7:30AM. The December event was once again sponsored by Alan Jay Automotive Network. The big draw for this event was the performance by the Sebring High School Show Choir, under the direction of Mrs. Luanne Hawk. They performed holiday music for the crowd, and entertained with a few quirky additions to the presentation.

November Networking Luncheon

The Greater Sebring Chamber of Commerce held one of the year's most attended networking luncheons of the year. The November luncheon, held on November 12, is annually sponsored by Harbor Community Bank. The big draw for this event is the "Cash Draw", which allows a few lucky people to grab as much cash as they can from the bowl. However, what stole the audience's attention was the presentation from Woodraun Wright, Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Club.

November After-Hours Mixer

On November 19, Sebring Chamber members gathered to mix and mingle at the monthly Sebring Chamber After-Hours Mixer. The mixer was sponsored by the brand new Newsom Eye building (as Don calls it, the Sebring Skyscraper), which made for a beautiful mixer venue! The mixer hosts showed the attendees a wonderful time, including top-notch food and awesome door prizes, including eye exams and optical gift certificates!
 

Small Business Saturday Gears Up

The Sebring Community Redevelopment Agency is encouraging people to do their holiday shopping by buying local on Nov. 28 for Small Business Saturday, which is an awareness campaign started by American Express that takes place in local communities across the nation to support local business that create jobs, boost the economy and preserve neighborhoods around the country.
