Annual Networking Breakfast Raises $2,978 for Sebring High Show Choir

The Greater Sebring Chamber of Commerce held its' annual networking breakfast on December 10 at Island View Restaurant, bright and early at 7:30AM. The December event was once again sponsored by Alan Jay Automotive Network. The big draw for this event was the performance by the Sebring High School Show Choir, under the direction of Mrs. Luanne Hawk. They performed holiday music for the crowd, and entertained with a few quirky additions to the presentation. The SHS Choir travels all over the US and to Eurpoe to perform, and the Chamber members have raised money at this annual event to help funds the choir's travels. Alan Wildstein, CEO of Alan Jay Automotive Network, generously matches the amount each year. This year, Alan promised to double match the donations given by the attendees. When the collections were tallied, Alan gave MORE than double, adding $2,000 to the $903.41 raised by the audience. When Jennifer Gravelle of Wauchula State Bank won the 50/50 drawing, she too added her $75 winnings to the pot, bringing the Sebring High School Show Choir's total to $2978.41.

In addition, the Student of the Month award was given. From Sebring High School, the Student of the Month for the month of November was Luke Smith. Luke received a ticket to the 12 Hours of Sebring, compliments of the Sebring International Raceway and a $50 check compliments of Central Security. Congrats on your awards! Luke will now qualify to interview for the Sebring Chamber & Alan Jay Automotive Network scholarship in May.
The next networking luncheon is scheduled for Thursday, January 14. Doors open at 11:30AM, and the program begins at 12:00PM at Island View Restaurant at the Sun 'N Lake Golf Club, and is sponsored by The Palms of Sebring. Please be sure to RSVP to the Sebring Chamber at (863) 385-8448 or
